Daily adult dose: 3 - 5ml up to three times a day. Alternatively take one 5ml dose before bed or upon waking in the night as required.
Avoid during breastfeeding.

Habitat: Valerian is a robust perennial plant which dies back in winter and grows again the following spring, reaching 1m tall. It is native across Britain and Euope, especially along waterways and in other damp sunny areas.
Constituents: Volatile oils (at least 64 individual constituents have been identified here, including sesquiterpenes, monoterpenes and esters), alkaloids, iridoid epoxy-esters, flavonoids lignans and other phenolic acids.
Actions: Sedative, spasmolytic, hypotensive, carminative, mild analgesic
