Tincture of Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) 1:3 25%

Eleutherococcus senticosus, organic grain alcohol

Daily adult dose: 3 - 10ml unless otherwise prescribed. 

Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, mental illness, heart disease, a compromised immune system. Individuals taking digoxin or hexobarbital may suffer adverse reactions; seek advice before taking. Avoid during acute infections without professional advice. 

Overdoses may cause confusion, anxiety or irritability. 




Eleutherococcus senticosus

Habitat: Siberian Ginseng is a deciduous woody shrub native to forests of East Asia, China, Japan and Russia. 

Folklore and History: 

Constituents: Triterpenoid saponins (elehtherosides), lignans, flavones and coumarins

Actions: Adaptogenic, anti-ulcer, anti-cancer, radio-protectant, immune stimulant, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, hepatoprotective, choleretic, hypocholesterolaemic, moderates insulin levels

Traditional and current uses:

• Aids convalescence, particularly following antibiotics or prolonged periods of stress

• Oxidative stress

• "Over 35 studies with patients with atherosclerosis, acute pyelonephritis, diabetes, hypertension, trauma, neuroses, rheumatic heart disease, chronic bronchitis, insomnia, cancer and several other ailments have been performed.
